Directory of Candidate Programs
This page provides a listing of academic programs that have officially entered the Candidacy phase with CAHSE. Acceptance into Candidacy Status is a prerequisite for new programs, allowing them to participate in the formal Comprehensive Program Review process required to achieve Initial Accreditation.
Candidacy status does not denote accreditation or full compliance with Accreditation Standards; instead, it indicates that a program has met minimum eligibility requirements and is actively working toward providing the rigorous education necessary to prepare students for the workforce. This status is valid for a maximum of two (2) years, during which the program must complete its Self-Assessment and move toward a final accreditation decision.
